Just a quick thank you and update on the hot water system.
As you predicted, the tank temperature went to 60 degrees and the element switched itself off. We ran a couple of loads of washing last evening to run the tank down and drop the temperature (down to 47), it was at 52 degrees this morning Indicating the element came on and did Its job during the night.
So ail looks good – problem found and fixed! Just in a nick of time looking out the window today at the lack of sunshine…
Thank you again for persevering until you sorted the issue out and for the advice regarding building etc. Your card is in our “house box” so there’s a good chance you’ll hear from us down the track

I just had an Apricus System installed with 30 tubes and 315 litre tank. Completed last week and so far we have had one full week of solar gain and pleased with the output so far.
We decided on having 2 quotes done – Philip Hniat and one other.
We went with Philip Hniat as he seemed to know what he was talking about and spent more time with my wife completing the quote and ensuring that the tubes and cylinder were in the optimum position. Also he was recommended by Apricus Australia.
I would like to commend Philip on an excellent and through install. He was very informative and explained the whole system thoroughly to us.

I was very impressed by Philip Hniat who installed my hot water unit, he did an excellent professional
job and had a pleasing manner, being a tradesmen myself I know good work.
The Apricus system is great and it will be good to see how it performs over the next 12 months, the only thing I would like to see changed is more control of the Solastat unit, I would like to see a timer installed to regulate when the relay supplies power to the element, by doing this if the family shower in the mornings then go to work or school, I could set the timer to come on about 4.00PM to boost the hot water to the set temperature, therefore allowing the tubes a chance to heat the water to the set temperature without supplying electricity to the element.
